About Me

Sitesh Dhar is New York based Performing Artist. He made his acting debute in 1983 in Bangladesh. 1988 he was selected a permanent vocal artist for Bangladesh radio Sylhet. Since then, Dhar has appeared in over 50 radio, telivision advertisements, film and theatre productions. During his decades of acting carrier, Dhar has worked with renowned actors and directors such as Momtazuddin Ahmed, Jamaluddin Hussain, Rekha Ahmed, Rawshan Ara Hussain, Shamsul Alom Bakul, Ishrat Nishat, Muzib Bin Haque, Gulam Sarwar Harun, Mithun Ahmed, Zafor Rahman, Goldie Patrick (NYU), Reena Dutt (NYU), Khairul Islam Pakhi and many more. 

Since 2000, Dhar has been working as an actor, director, production manager, producer and an organizer in the United States. His most recent performance was Halal Brother’s, a play written by Alauddin Ullah and directed by Goldie Patrick, as part of Columbia University’s second-year playwright’s workshop. The first three shows of Halal Brother’s were staged at the Shapiro Studio Theatre in New York City’s Broadway. Dhar has also performed three shows of Accidental Feminist a play written by Alauddin Ullah and directed by Reena Dutt, at Columbia University’s Lenfest Center for the Arts. The most recent production KRISHTI present Pendulum written by Masum Reza and directed by Khairul Islam Pakhi. This production bcame one of the famous play in north America in 2023.

Most recently, Dhar has received a Certificate of completion for “Performing Arts Essentials” from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts (2023). He always finds the challenge of a live show thrilling. Dhar would like to thank his family and his audience for their support.’
